oin Green Tourism Pakistan in celebrating World Lake Day on 27 August and help inspire young people to protect one of nature’s most valuable resources.
Lakes provide clean water, support biodiversity, help regulate the climate and form an important part of our natural and cultural heritage.
Schools can participate in either of the following activities:
- Conduct a World Lake Day awareness session during the morning assembly, highlighting the importance of lakes and how students can help protect them.
- Organise a poster creation challenge where students create artwork and messages promoting lake conservation.
After completing the activity, schools can submit a short report together with photographs of their participation.
Participating schools and students can be recognised as Friends of the Lake for helping spread awareness and encouraging positive action for cleaner, healthier and more beautiful lakes.
