Guru Nanak Gurpurab
The birth anniversary of Guru Nanak, Sikhism's most important pilgrimage in Pakistan, at Nankana Sahib and Kartarpur.
Each November, tens of thousands of Sikh pilgrims gather at Nankana Sahib, the birthplace of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, and at Kartarpur Sahib for Gurpurab, three days of continuous kirtan, nagar kirtan processions, langar, and devotion.

- Date follows the Sikh lunar calendar (usually November); pilgrim logistics are coordinated annually.
- Getting there
- Nankana Sahib is about 80 km from Lahore; Kartarpur is reachable via the dedicated corridor. Both are heavily organised during Gurpurab.

The heart of Sikh pilgrimage
Nankana Sahib and Kartarpur are among the holiest sites in Sikhism. Gurpurab fills them with kirtan, processions, and the langar tradition shared with all visitors.
Visiting respectfully
Cover your head, remove shoes, and follow stewards. Pilgrims and curious travellers alike are welcomed, especially around the community kitchen.
