Hinglaj Mata Yatra
Pakistan's largest Hindu pilgrimage, a desert-mountain yatra to the ancient Hinglaj Mata shrine in Hingol.
Set among the mud volcanoes and canyons of Hingol National Park, the Hinglaj Mata temple draws thousands of pilgrims for the annual yatra of ritual bathing, offerings, and devotional travel across the Makran desert. It blends Hindu devotion with one of Pakistan's most dramatic landscapes.

Devotion in the desert
Pilgrims climb the Chandragup mud volcano, bathe ritually, and process to the shrine set in a canyon. The yatra is both a sacred journey and an extraordinary desert-mountain experience.
Pair with the coast
Hingol sits on the Balochistan coast near the Princess of Hope rock formation and Kund Malir beach, a natural add-on to the pilgrimage route.
Respectful travel
This is an active place of worship. Follow your guide, ask before photographing rituals, and carry your own water and supplies.
