Kel is the last town in the Neelum Valley reached by a proper road, and the practical base for the valley's final stretch. From here a chairlift climbs to the meadow village of Arang Kel, and a rougher jeep track continues past Kel toward Taobat. Kel itself is a working town rather than a resort, guesthouses, a bazaar, and mountain views rather than manicured sights, but it is the natural overnight stop for anyone continuing deeper into the valley.

Why go
