Dak Chowki, Wazirabad
A standalone Suri-period mail station at Wazirabad on the Grand Trunk Road, near the Chenab crossing.
This small building at Wazirabad, where the Grand Trunk Road heads north across the Chenab, was a dak chowki: a mail station. Mail stations were usually part of a caravanserai, but this one stands on its own, with no sign of a sarai around it.

History
The register dates it to the Suri period, the short-lived dynasty founded by Sher Shah Suri, and a signpost on site suggests the station also gathered intelligence on the district as well as carrying mail. It is listed as PB-P-27.
