History

This sacred shrine is present even today in the settlement of Ajnianwala. This place was built by Surjan Das Khatri and "Surjan Dasia" sect draws its name from him. Samadhs outside the Gurdwara belong to Surjan Das, Athal Das and two of their disciples. The Granth compiled by Surjan Das is known, as "Ajat Granth". Fair used to be held in Chaiter.

Best Time to Visit, November to March. The Surjan Das samadhs stand outside the gurdwara in Ajnianwala; a fair was once held here in Chaitar (March–April), and the building is now a family home, so the samadhs are what you can see freely.
