Naig Stupa
The Naig Stupa, situated in the scenic Naig Valley of Jamshoro District, Sindh, is an important Buddhist archaeological site.
Located on a hill north of Naig Sharif village in the Kirthar Mountains, the stupa lies along an ancient route that once connected Sehwan Sharif to spiritual destinations like Lahoot and Hinglaj. Built of stone and mud, the stupa is surrounded by other historic sites, including the Indus Valley-era mound of Lakhmir-Ji-Mari, the shrine of Mai Rohi, and an unfinished fort-like structure. The valley itself is rich in natural beauty, with pipal and date trees, and streams that power old water mills. Despite its historical value, the Naig Stupa remains largely unexplored and unprotected, underscoring the need for archaeological research and preservation.
