Chapursan Valley
Chapursan, the Wakhi valley of upper Hunza near the Afghan and Chinese borders: some eight scattered villages beneath the high mountains.
Chapursan (also spelt Chipursan) is a remote valley in Gojal, the upper part of Hunza, close to the Wakhan Corridor of Afghanistan and to Xinjiang in China. About eight scattered villages lie along it. Most people are Wakhi, while the village of Raminj is Burusho.

History
The valley is home to around 500 households, about 3,000 people, most of them Ismaili Muslims.
