Namal Lake
Namal Lake, a reservoir formed by a 1913 dam in Mianwali District, with hills on two sides and winter waterfowl.
Namal Lake near Rikhi village in Mianwali District was formed when British engineers built the Namal Dam in 1913 to bring water to Mianwali city, 32 km away. The lake covers about 5.5 km², with mountains on its western and southern sides and farmland on the others. It is a local picnic spot and a winter home for waterfowl and migrating cranes.
