Field guides / Sindh / Quba Mir Shahdad
Field guide · Heritage
This is a Kalhoro period (18th Century CE) graveyard containing many tombs and graves including the tombs of Abdullah Shah Syed constructed with stones.
The tomb of Satyon is constructed with burnt bricks. Both the tombs are domed. Both the tombs are badly damaged.
Why go
The Talpurs took Sindh from the Kalhoras in 1783 and governed until the British annexation of 1843. Their family tombs are scattered across Sindh beyond the main royal enclosure at Hyderabad, and this is one of them.
Part of the wider Talpur funerary landscape outside Hyderabad.
A Talpur tomb away from the Hyderabad enclosure, in the Sanghar countryside.
