Shaikhan Dheri
Shaikhan Dheri is an ancient Buddhist site near Charsadda, Pakistan, and part of the historic city of Pushkalavati, the capital of Gandhara.
Excavations reveal it was founded by Indo-Greek rulers around the 2nd century BCE and flourished under Kushan rule. The site features a grid- like street layout, stupa ruins, and artifacts like Greek and Kushan coins, pottery, and Buddhist sculptures. It was abandoned by the 3rd century CE, likely due to flooding. Today, it remains an important archaeological site, offering insights into Gandhara's Hellenistic and Buddhist heritage.

Current Condition
