Kharmang, also called Kartaksha, is one of the five main valleys of Baltistan, about 120 km from Skardu along the Indus. It is where the Indus flows into Pakistan-administered territory from Ladakh. Its sights include the Manthokha and Khamosh waterfalls, the Mehdiabad valley and Kharmang Fort in Kharmang Khas.
