Malot is a temple in the Salt Range of Chakwal District, about seven miles from the Katas Raj Temples. It was built in the 10th century by the Shahi rulers in a Kashmiri–Gandhara style, from the Salt Range's red sandstone. Fluted pillars and a large trefoil arch frame its central shrine, and it stands high over the land around it.
