Tomb of Mirza Baqi Tarkhan
A walled Tarkhan family enclosure at Makli, Thatta, for Mirza Muhammad Baqi, the Tarkhan ruler of Sindh until 1585, with carved stone graves in four chambers.
North of the Habshad Bai tomb on Makli Hill, beside a dried-up river bed, stands a large walled courtyard divided into four separate enclosures, each holding a group of graves of the Tarkhan family. The central enclosure has five tombs of important people, with names and dates inscribed on them. The complex is associated with Mirza Muhammad Baqi Tarkhan.

History
The Tarkhans ruled Sindh from 1554 until the Mughal emperor Akbar annexed it in 1593. Mirza Muhammad Baqi ruled until his death in 1585 and was followed by his grandson Mirza Jani Beg, the last independent Tarkhan ruler. Makli, one of the largest necropolises in the world, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
