Sehwan Sharif's great Sufi festival, three days of dhamaal drumming and devotion at the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar.
The annual Urs commemorates the 13th-century Sufi saint Lal Shahbaz Qalandar at his red-domed shrine in Sehwan. Hundreds of thousands of devotees gather for ecstatic dhamaal drumming and dance, qawwali, and night-long devotion.
The Urs is intense and deeply devotional, the rhythmic dhamaal before the shrine draws enormous crowds. It is a religious occasion first; dress modestly, follow your guide, and respect the rituals.
Sehwan fills far beyond capacity during the Urs. Arrange transport, timing, and any stay through an operator who knows the crowd logistics and current guidance.
Use Plan a trip to combine Sehwan with a wider Sindh route, Bhit Shah, Hyderabad, and the Indus heritage trail.
