Sindh's mystic-poetry festival at Daraza Sharif, raag, devotional music, and literary gatherings for Sachal Sarmast.
The Urs of Sachal Sarmast at Daraza Sharif, near Khairpur, celebrates the great Sindhi Sufi poet with devotional music, raag and kafi performances, literary gatherings, and shrine rituals that draw poets and pilgrims alike.
Sachal Sarmast wrote in many tongues and is among Sindh's most beloved mystics. His Urs is as much a literary and musical festival as a religious one.
Combine with the Urs of Shah Abdul Latif at Bhit Shah and the shrines of Sehwan for a Sindhi Sufi route.
