Jinnan Wali Dheri
Jinnan Wali Dheri is an archaeological site near Taxila, Pakistan, dating to the 5th century AD.
It is a well-preserved Buddhist monastic complex from the Gandhara civilization. The site includes a main stupa, votive stupas, chapels, and platforms near the eastern wall. An upper court votive stupa and a monastery are located on the eastern side of the stupa. Fragments of murals from the monastery’s corridor were discovered, but the site was destroyed by the White Huns in the 5th century. The complex was opened to the public in 2010. It remains an important historical and cultural site in the Taxila valley.

Current Condition
The Jinnan Wali Dheri near Taxila is a well-preserved 2nd–5th century CE Buddhist monastic complex featuring a stupa, monastery cells, and rare mural fragments excavated between 2002 and 2008. Management and conservation were undertaken by the provincial archaeology department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, following the devolution of federal authority under the 18th Amendment. Recovered artifacts—including mural plaster fragments, coins, and stucco heads—are exhibited at Taxila Museum.
