This Kalhora period (18th Century CE) mausoleum, said to have been erected by Ghulam Shah Kalhoro in 1774 CE in memory of Shah Baharo, a military commander under Nur Mohammad Kalhora who had died in 1735 CE.
This huge monument was raised on a high platform and is crowned with a segmental dome surmounted by a decoration lantern. It was built with burnt bricks and finished with pucca qalai or glazed choona plaster. It is octagonal in shape and overlaid with enameled tiles.
Why go
Shah Baharo served the Kalhoras during the dynasty's expansion in the first half of the eighteenth century, under Mian Noor Muhammad, son and successor of the dynasty's founder. The tomb belongs to the Kalhora funerary tradition — brick, tiled, and richly painted inside.

Best Time to Visit, November to February. Summer here is punishing.
Getting there, Larkana and Dadu lie along the Indus in upper Sindh; both are reachable from the N-55 (Indus Highway). Moenjodaro is the anchor for any visit to Larkana.
