The annual Urs of Hazrat Ali Hujwiri (Data Ganj Bakhsh) at Data Darbar is one of South Asia's largest Sufi festivals, with chadar-laying processions, all-night qawwali, dhamal, shrine illuminations, and langar serving enormous numbers of devotees.

Lahore's Sufi heart
Data Ganj Bakhsh is Lahore's patron saint, and his Urs draws the city and pilgrims from far beyond. The shrine glows with lights and music for three days and nights.
Visiting respectfully
Dress modestly, expect crowds and security checks, and follow your guide. Women have designated areas; ask before photographing devotees or rituals.
