The Akbari Sarai is a large Mughal caravan inn at Shahdara Bagh in Lahore. Its great gateway, richly decorated with pietra dura, is the entrance to the tomb of Emperor Jahangir.

History
Dating from 1637, the sarai was built for travellers and for the caretakers of Jahangir's tomb. It is the best-preserved example of its kind in Pakistan.
