Baltoro Kangri, also called the Golden Throne, is a 7,312 metre mountain of the Karakoram, the 82nd highest in the world. It lies south of the Gasherbrums and east of Chogolisa, and the great Baltoro Glacier rises at its foot, with the Abruzzi Glacier to the north. A Japanese expedition from Tokyo University made the first ascent on 4 August 1963.
