Gurdwara Nihang Singh Chhaoni, Nowshera
A fort-like gurdwara by the river at Nowshera, joined to the samadh of Akali Phoola Singh.
The samadh is a small four-doored chaukhandi; the gurdwara beside it is built like a fort, and the open land next to it, about 1.5 squares, is where Nihang Singh practised the skills of war.

History
The Gurdwara is attached with the Samadh of Sardar Phoola Singh Akali. The Samadh is a small Chaukhandi (room with door in each of the 4 walls) whereas the Gurdwara is built in the form of a fort. The vacant land beside it is a part of the Gurdwara. Nahing Singh used to practice war skills here. This vacant land measures about 1. 5 squares. The building is elegant and strong. Its location by the river has added much to its grace.

Best Time to Visit, October to March. The fort-like gurdwara and the samadh of Akali Phoola Singh stand by the river at Nowshera, where Peshawar-valley summers reach 36–40 °C from May to September; the river setting is at its best on a clear winter day.
