Mehrano Wildlife Sanctuary is a riverine forest in Khairpur District, preserved privately by the Talpur Mirs of Khairpur with the backing of the Sindh Wildlife Department. It holds about 4,000 big game animals, including blackbuck, Indian gazelle, hog deer and wild boar, and its lake draws resident and migratory birds.

History
The head of the Talpur family has banned hunting except for jackal and an annual cull of wild boar, which threaten nearby farms. A viewing area is kept for visitors to see the boar.
