National Art Gallery
Pakistan's first national art gallery, a brick cube opposite Parliament in Islamabad, opened 2007.
The National Art Gallery opened on 26 August 2007 on a small hill opposite Parliament and the President's House in Islamabad. It is Pakistan's first national gallery, run by the Pakistan National Council of the Arts.

About
The building, by the architects Suhail Abbasi and Naeem Pasha, won a national design competition in 1989: a plain brick cube of four storeys. Inside are 14 galleries, lecture halls, a library, conservation laboratories, a 400-seat auditorium and an open-air theatre.
