This is the shrine of Jalaluddin Surkh-Posh Bukhari, who came to Uch in 1244 and founded a religious school there, and died about 1290. His remains were later brought to their present resting place, and the tomb was rebuilt in 1670 by the Nawab of Bahawalpur. It stands on a rise above the plains and the desert, with a mosque decorated in blue tile beside it and a pool in front, and a carved wooden door leading to the saint's tomb. UNESCO, which lists it among the five monuments of Uch on its tentative list, describes a brick tomb of about 18 by 24 metres with carved wooden pillars, glazed tiles in floral and geometric designs and a lacquer-painted ceiling.
