Smadh of Jahangir Shah Suthra
The samadh of Jhingar Shah Suthra beside the north wall of Lahore Fort: the only seat of the Suthra sect, a marble platform inlaid with pietra dura.
Next to the northern wall of the Lahore Fort stands the samadh of Jhingar (or Jahangir) Shah Suthra, with the buildings around it. It is the original and only seat of the Suthras, a religious order whose name means pure and true, and it is sacred to the sect's followers. The samadh itself is a marble platform decorated with pietra dura inlay.

History
The founder, Jhingar Shah, was a revered faqir in the time of Aurangzeb. It is said that Aurangzeb allowed him to collect three pies a year from every shop in the Mughal Empire. The present samadh is dated to 1799–1849, the period of Sikh rule in Lahore.
