Taitrinot Baoli, Poonch
A stepped well of the Sikh period near Hajira, its carved stone facade decorated with floral and geometric designs.
The Taitrinot Baoli stands beside the Hajira–Taitrinot road, about 15 km southeast of Hajira in Poonch, near the government boys' school. A stepped tank lies at the centre of a large courtyard, in a chamber with arches on three sides and guest rooms on either side. Built of limestone with carved facing stones and pointed arches, its southeast-facing facade is decorated with floral and geometric motifs, and outside its railing a rough stone trough once watered travellers' animals. It is assigned to the Sikh period.
