Toli Pir
A high grassy ridge at roughly 2,743m above Rawalakot, where open meadows meet long views across the Poonch mountains toward Bagh and Abbaspur.
Toli Pir is one of the signature landscapes of the Rawalakot region: rolling grasslands, exposed ridges, and wide skies rather than dense settlement. Around 30km from Rawalakot, the climb steadily leaves the town behind before opening onto high country where several mountain ridges appear to radiate into the surrounding valleys. The summit area is associated with the remains of an old shrine, but the main attraction is the landscape itself, reaching across a remarkable spread of Poonch on a clear day.

Walk the Ridge
You do not need to treat Toli Pir as a serious summit expedition. Much of its appeal comes from simply leaving the vehicle behind and walking along the grassy crest — though cloud can arrive quickly at this elevation, so an early start gives the best chance of open views.

When to go, May to September. Snow and winter weather can affect the upper road outside the main season.
Getting there, Roughly 30km by mountain road from Rawalakot. A local driver is useful if you are unfamiliar with steep hill roads.
