Tomb of Shah Ismail Shaheed
The graves of Shah Ismail Shaheed and Syed Ahmad Barelvi in Balakot, where both fell in battle in 1831, in a walled enclosure in the town's bazaar.
In the bazaar of Balakot, in an enclosure with a number of other graves, lie Shah Ismail Shaheed and Syed Ahmad Barelvi. The enclosure wall is of hammer-dressed stone with a white-washed cement railing on top. It has two entrances, west and south. The western one is false; the real entrance is the southern one, with a wooden door. The graves themselves are modern, cement-plastered and white-washed.

History
Shah Ismail Dehlvi (1779–1831) was a scholar and reformer who, with Syed Ahmad Barelvi, led the Tariqah-i-Muhammadiyah movement against the Sikh Empire. Both were killed at the Battle of Balakot on 6 May 1831.
