Yukshin Gardan Sar
A 7,469 m peak of the Shimshal valley in the Karakoram, first climbed by a Pakistani–Austrian team in 1984.
Yukshin Gardan Sar is a high peak of the Shimshal valley in the Karakoram, its height usually given as 7,469 metres. It stands about 16 km northeast of Khunyang Chhish and 6 km northwest of Kanjut Sar, between the Yazghil and Yukshin Gardan glaciers, both of which drain into the Shimshal River. In Shimshal village the names of this peak and Kanjut Sar are traditionally swapped, and locals keep their own naming. A Pakistani–Austrian team made the first ascent by the South Ridge on 26 June 1984, and a Pakistani–Japanese team followed weeks later.
