The Qaqlasht Festival revives ancient Chitrali traditions with polo matches, folk dance, music, and adventure-sport displays on a high plateau above the Chitral valley.
Qaqlasht sits in the calendar just before Chilam Joshi, useful for travellers who want Chitral culture without peak Kalasha crowds.
Allow two to three nights in the region; roads are scenic but slow.
