Ansoo Lake — the name means Teardrop Lake — lies high in the Kaghan Valley in Mansehra District, and from above it really is shaped like a tear. At about 4,126 metres it is one of the highest lakes in the Himalayan range in Pakistan, close under Malika Parbat, the tallest peak in the Kaghan Valley.
