Baintha Brakk, known as The Ogre, is a steep granite peak of 7,285 metres in the Panmah Muztagh of the Karakoram. It rises above the north side of the Biafo Glacier, about 30 km north of the roadhead at Askole. It is famous as one of the world's hardest mountains: 24 years passed between its first ascent in 1977 and the second in 2001.
