Broghil Valley National Park
Broghil Valley National Park, Chitral's northernmost valley, with some 30 lakes and wide peatlands near the Wakhan Corridor.
Broghil Valley National Park lies at the far north of Upper Chitral District, about 250 km from Chitral town, next to the Wakhan Corridor of Afghanistan and the Qurumbar National Park of Gilgit-Baltistan. It ranges from about 3,200 to 5,700 metres and holds some 3,400 hectares of peatland and around 30 freshwater lakes amid glaciers and mountains. The yearly Broghil Festival brings yak polo and local crafts.
