Dudipatsar Lake
A cold, blue-green lake at 3,800 m ringed by snow peaks at the head of the Kaghan Valley, reached by a full day's hike.
Dudipatsar, or Dudipat Lake, lies at the northern end of the Kaghan Valley in Lulusar–Dudipatsar National Park, Mansehra district. At about 3,800 metres its water is greenish-blue and very cold, and the peaks around it, rising to about 4,800 metres, keep patches of snow in their shady hollows through the summer. The park and its neighbour, Saiful Muluk National Park, together protect 88,000 hectares of the Kaghan region's alpine meadows and lakes.
