Hindu Temple-I (East of Indus View Hotel)

History

The building is 2.8 metres square and 4.12 metres high, with the entrance on the east. Its five other interior faces each hold a blind niche, and stucco worked in floral squares runs across every interior corner over full lime plaster.

Historical Significance

A small surviving Hindu shrine in the Attock district, of the kind that once dotted the region and is now rare.

Architecture

Stucco imitating squares in floral design runs across every interior corner over full lime plaster, with straight bands and decorated rectangles above the niches and, on the north, a double band worked with a circular design.
