A Baradari, situated on the G.T.
Road, architecturally the best monument of the locality. The area of the monument is enclosed by a substantial enclosure wall built in small bricks and lime plaster with decorations of merlons specially on the west enclosure wall. The pillars are in Sang-e-Abri and the floor frames in black stone. The eve is of Naushera black stone. The whole structure has been carefully set in the middle of the southern side of the oblong courtyard to give it a well balanced look. The other Baradari which is in the north-west corner is of the same description and size as the one described above. It appears that in the north east corner of the enclosure there was also some structure which now has altogether disappeared.
Why go
The pavilion is placed deliberately at the middle of the south side of an oblong courtyard, for balance. Its pillars are Sang-e-Abri, its floor frames black stone, its eaves of Naushera black stone, and the enclosure wall is decorated with merlons, most elaborately on the west.
A well-preserved example of the pleasure architecture that lined the imperial road, as distinct from its forts and serais.
Its enclosure wall is small brick in lime plaster, decorated with merlons most elaborately along the west. a second baradari of the same description and size stands at the north-west corner, and something once stood at the north-east that has vanished entirely.
For the stone: Sang-e-Abri pillars against Naushera black stone, in a building composed for symmetry.

Getting there, Strung along the Grand Trunk Road between Rawalpindi and Attock, roughly 40–80 km west of Islamabad. Hasan Abdal's monuments cluster together and pair naturally with Taxila.
Allow, Twenty to forty minutes each; a half day for the Hasan Abdal and Attock group.
