Manora Point Lighthouse
Manora Point Lighthouse, Karachi: a 38-metre tower first lit in 1851, rebuilt in 1889 and still guiding ships into the port.
The Manora Point Lighthouse stands on Manora, at the mouth of the Port of Karachi. The 38-metre conical masonry tower, painted with red, white and black bands on its seaward side, is still working.

History
A light was first set up on the point in 1851, the second oldest light station in British India. The tower was rebuilt in 1889 and fitted with a hyperradiant Fresnel lens by Chance Brothers in 1908. The site is open to the public, though Manora itself is a restricted zone surrounded by naval bases.
