Masti Gateway
Masti Gate on the north side of Lahore's Walled City, named after the nearby Mariam Zamani mosque of 1614; the present gate is British-era.
Masti Gate is one of the gates on the northern side of the Walled City of Lahore, close to the Lahore Fort. Its name is said to be a corruption of Masjidi Darwaza, the Mosque Gate, after the mosque that stands beside it: the Begum Shahi or Mariam Zamani mosque, completed in 1614.

History
The gate belongs to the city wall of Akbar's reign, but the present gateway is a British-period rebuilding. The mosque it is named after was commissioned by Mariam-uz-Zamani, Akbar's chief consort and Jahangir's mother, and built between 1611 and 1614. It is Lahore's earliest dated Mughal mosque, known for its frescoes.
