Mochi Gate lies on the south side of the Walled City of Lahore, between Akbari Gate and Shah Alam Gate. It was one of thirteen gates built under Akbar along a 30-foot wall. The gate itself was burnt in 1947 and no longer stands, but its streets keep their old names, such as Mohalla Teer-garan (arrow-makers) and Mohalla Kaman-garan (bow-makers).
