Shrine of Shah Jamal
The shrine of Baba Shah Jamal in Lahore, known for its Thursday-night dhol and dhamaal.
The tomb of the Sufi saint Baba Shah Jamal stands near Muslim Town in Lahore, opposite Forman Christian College, with a mosque and graveyard around it. For generations, devotees have gathered at the foot of its stairs every Thursday night to drum and dance the dhamaal; the late dhol player Pappu Sain made the gathering famous.
