Tomb of Muhammad Ibn-e-Haroon
A brick-domed tomb on the edge of Bela, Lasbela, said to be that of Muhammad ibn Haroon, a general of Muhammad bin Qasim's time.
On the outskirts of Bela, in Lasbela district, stands a massive square tomb of brick, about 8.2 metres each way, crowned by a dome. Local tradition and the Department of Archaeology hold it to be the tomb of Muhammad ibn Haroon, a general of the early 8th century who campaigned on the Makran coast and served with Muhammad bin Qasim's army; the building itself is dated between the 8th and 11th centuries. Its brick walls are laid in patterned courses, with arched niches and a doorway into the domed chamber.
