The Shiv Mandir of Umarkot, near Rana Jaageer Goth in Umerkot District, is one of the most sacred and perhaps the oldest Hindu places of worship in Sindh. Legend tells of a herdsman whose cow gave her milk to a lingam here. The present building was put up about a century ago, by a Muslim, around the Shiv Lingam.
