Dheer Kot (Dhirkot)
An accessible forest hill station at about 1,676m in Bagh District, roughly 24km from Kohala, where deodar and kail woodland begins only a short drive beyond the gateway.
Dheer Kot, commonly written Dhirkot, is one of Bagh District's easiest mountain escapes to reach. Around 24km from Kohala, it rises quickly from the lower Jhelum corridor into cooler, greener country. Mixed deodar and kail forest surrounds the area, giving Dheer Kot a very different character from the exposed grassy ridges higher in Bagh — developed enough to serve as an overnight halt but still quiet enough for forest walks and an unhurried mountain break.

A Forest Stop Close to the Plains
The appeal here is accessibility. Visitors who do not have time for a deep journey into Neelum or Haveli can still reach proper mountain scenery without tackling long remote roads. Dheer Kot also pairs naturally with Neela Butt, only a short drive farther into the hills.
