Domail Rainbow Lake
A lake in the meadows of Domail, Minimarg, in the upper Astore valley, reached over the Burzil Pass.
Domail Rainbow Lake lies in the Minimarg area of the upper Astore valley, among wide meadows full of wildflowers. Its name comes from the changing colours of its water.

About
The lake is reached by a hard walk, and fog or rain often hides it when you arrive, so it is worth allowing a spare day. Minimarg is close to the Line of Control and is approached over the high Burzil Pass, which is snowbound for much of the year; non-locals need permission to travel there.
