Fatima Jinnah Park
Islamabad's F-9 Park: 750 acres of green covering a whole sector, opened in 1992.
Fatima Jinnah Park, usually called F-9 Park, fills the whole of Sector F-9 in Islamabad: 304 hectares (750 acres), just smaller than Central Park in New York. It is named after Fatima Jinnah, the younger sister of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and opened in 1992.

About
The park was designed by Michael Japero to a master plan by the Japan International Cooperation Agency, revised in 2005 by the architect Nayyar Ali Dada. Most of it is left as greenery, much of it effectively a wildlife sanctuary, crossed by a network of footpaths; a fenced boundary has gates on every side, including Mehran Gate on Jinnah Avenue. The Capital Development Authority runs it; in 2024 it removed over 5,000 mulberry trees and planted around 10,000 others.
