Hawke's Bay Beach
A long sandy beach west of Karachi lined with painted huts, and one of the few mainland beaches where green turtles still come ashore to nest.
Hawke's Bay is Karachi's long western beach, sand running below low cliffs and lined with the painted huts that families rent for the day. It is also one of the few mainland beaches in Pakistan where green turtles still come ashore to nest, a fact that has made it the focus of long-running conservation work along this stretch of coast.

Turtles and Responsible Visiting
Nesting turtles are easily disturbed. Keep away from marked nesting areas, avoid bright lights and flash photography on the beach after dark, and take everything you bring with you, plastic on this coast is a direct threat to the same turtles people come to see.
Swimming Safely
Currents along this coast can be strong and lifeguard cover is limited. Swim only where locals are swimming, stay within your depth, and treat the monsoon months with real caution.

When to go, November to March for comfortable temperatures. Turtle nesting activity is generally strongest from September through December.
