Old Attock Bridge

The Old Attock Bridge (1883), a fortified two-level road and rail crossing of the Indus.

The Attock Bridge crosses the Indus between Attock Khurd and Khairabad Kund. Designed by Sir Guildford Molesworth, it opened on 24 May 1883 and was rebuilt in 1929. It has two levels, rail above and road below, over five spans totalling 425 metres, and its approaches were fortified. Road traffic moved to the New Attock Bridge in 1979.
