Rupal is a village in the Rupal Valley of Astore District, south of Tarashing village at the western end of the Tarashing Glacier. Nanga Parbat and Rakhiot Peak rise to its north-west and Chongra Peak to its north, making it a starting point for treks on Nanga Parbat's south side.
