Sindh Madressatul Islam, Karachi
Sindh Madressatul Islam in Karachi, opened in 1885 by Hassan Ali Effendi: the school where Muhammad Ali Jinnah studied, built on an old caravan sarai.
Sindh Madressatul Islam, now a university, is one of Karachi's historic schools. Its colonnaded yellow-stone building stands on the site of the old Qafila Sarai, a well-known caravan station of early Karachi.

History
It was built by Hassan Ali Effendi and opened on 1 September 1885. Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, was educated here. It is listed as SD-P-230.
